I spoke with the family and the passing of Del is truly a shocking and sad moment. Those that knew him, worked with him or had work done by him, really understood the genius in the man. He and April had overcome a number of adversities to build a great business and he became one of the most respected persons in his industry. His brain worked on a different level and he really was a true genius. He will be sadly missed.

For those who want to know what happened:
Del had surgery on July 8th and was released from the hospital and returned home on the 12th. His recovery appeared to be progressing and was scheduled to have the staples removed next week. Wednesday morning the 21st of July he passed away in his sleep.

RIP Brother... you will be sorely missed by those who knew you and those who didn't, have been cheated of the opportunity of knowing one fine human being.

It has been a bad run for the AZ shooting community the last couple years, but i guess as we age this is too be expected. Sorry to hear about this. Always sad to here about the passing of valuable members of our community. There are probably others that i don't here about. RIP DelW

The Memorial for Del was held yesterday at the Peoria Community Center. There were a hundred plus folks who came by to pay their respects. His daughter, on emergency leave from the Marine Corps, gave an uplifting and humorous epitaph. Del would have loved it. With all the friends and relatives in attendance, it would have been a great venue for Del to spin a yarn. We are gunna miss you buddy.
