I was trying to find some food for my recently acquired Yugo M48.
No 8mm to be found anywhere., but the weird chick working the counter at Wally World had a pretty stupid response to my question.
I asked if they had any 8mm at all.
She said they didn't have any 8mm, but they had some 7mm, and that might work......
It got me thinking, we've all heard some dumb things.
If you've got some examples, go ahead and post 'em up.
I figured this would be the appropriate forum for this stuff.

But 8mm mauser is actually 7 mm ammo. Kinda

Go ahead and get the 7mm and then just increase it's diameter by putting on some shrink tubing! I guarantee that it'll shoot...once for sure! I got green lacquer case .556 mixed up with 7.62x39 and loaded it into an SKS. I thought it was kind of loose in the mag! It fired the first one with a whole lot of blow back. Then some of the fresh ones in the mag came loose and jammed it all up. The rifle wasn't hurt at all.
