That is a really good point!

On my way home today I evaded arrest by exploiting a loophole in the traffic laws and drove the posted 45 mph speed limit on Bell Road.

It's guys like yo that give the rest of us a bad name.

Seller knew the Odessa shooter was prohibited how? The left's point exactly! Had there been a universal background check then he would not have sold to the purchaser.

That is the argument they will use to push this.

USA Today published an opinion piece by Alan Gottlieb today (9/9/19). He argues that the one occurrence in Odessa should not be used as a reason to implement universal background checks.

At the end of it is a link to the USA editorial board's opinion saying universal checks are good (to summarize.)

Yep, there has been exactly one occurrence of a mass shooter who was a prohibited possessor buying a gun. And guess what? Even if we had universal background checks, he still would've been able to buy a gun from the black market, so the checks will do absolutely nothing except piss off honest citizens.

I generally get delayed by a day or three by NICS.
Looks like gunshows are a no-go for me now.....
Why is it that those that know the least, know it the loudest?

One of the many reasons I keep a CCW. No NICS check.

I don't think having a CCW works that way anymore, Last 3 they ran me regardless.

I never bothered getting a CCW.
    To me, it was:
    A. A scheme to register owners instead of the guns themselves
    B. A way for the government to get me to pay for permission to exercise my 2A rights.

I understand that it makes (made?) it faster and more convenient to buy, but I figure I'm already on enough lists.
